My daughter would rather read the popular titles that today's kids are reading. Since I read somewhere that the older version of Nancy Drew features a younger, feistier Nancy Drew, I opted for this edition of book one instead of the later version from the 50's. Give it a try, but don't be disappointed if your child prefers the likes of Geronimo Stillton, Judy Blume or JK Rowling. I'll try the newer version on her to see if that makes a difference. My daughter is an avid reader, who, once enamored of an author, will read that author's entire series, but this is the first book in a year she simply put down and had no interest in. I read it, and being old school, loved the turn of phrase from a bygone era.
actually had the book as a little girl and still do.So when I listened to it it followed perfectly it was great.
I think I read the files series. I almost could not put it down but life got in the way. Ms. This book grabs your attention from the very first page. Being the curious girl she is Nancy decided to find out the truth. My Review:This story sets out as any other story we learn about the background of Nancy and then in then by the third chapter the mystery begins.
Crowly belongs to them since they took care of him for years before his death. I used to enjoy Nancy Drew mysteries as a kid but I never read the original ones. This mystery is about the whearabouts of a second will left by Josiah. Along the way she finds about two sisters who were told by Josiah that they would be inheriting money from him when he dies.So the adventure begins and with tons of excitement for your little girl and the young at heart.I really liked this story and it was quite a page-turner. I hope to introduce Nancy Drew to my daughter when she is older.I rate this a 5/5 The Tophans seem to think that the money from Mr.
Drew quickly finds out that he has other friends that and the he possibly had a second will from the old lady Abby Rowen he one of her rants.
nancy drew is a fun series to read.you never no who is the thief in the nancy drew series.my favorite book in the series is book 30 clue of the velvet mask.right now i am reading the book and i think mr.tombar is one of the thiefs of the missing jewelry.and the movie nancy drew is a very cute and funny movie.so make sure you read all the nancy drew stories because you are missing out.better start reading.seriously you are missing out.
I started out playing the pc games and am stuck on the mystery of the scarlet hand,it is sooooo hard. I totaly luv nancy drew books. You should totaly get this book. After I did some of the games and luved them, my mom told me to read the books the first one i read was the mystery of the 99 steps but was to little to understand it I recomend the books for ages 10 and up. Every1 should read them.this was probably 1 of the best ones out of the series. I'm reading them all in order and have read 1/2 of them.
